Years spent in film and television production has expanded his skill set and allowed George to work in many aspects of the industry, all while developing as a storyteller.

Above the Fruited Plain is Geoffrey Aaron George’s debut as a feature director- a long time coming and with several featurettes paving the way. His thematic vision of the American landscape is clarified in Above the Fruited Plain and delivered from location in the decaying Middle West.

Downtime Studios was founded as a record label by Geoffrey and Jason George. It later developed into a full production house. Based in Bloomington Indiana, Downtime has focused on unique and captivating film production.

Harnessing the creative desire of local artists, Downtime has assembled large productions with shockingly little funding. Embracing the collaborative effort of the team, the films have become powerfully unique. Downtime believes that our mythology is being written. The voices of the many can creative a timeless harmony whereas a  single artist would be left shouting. These collectives swell up around the project and are cultivated to later be edited into unified visions.
